Bicester Village opens 30 new stores and VIP area

Published
Oct 19, 2017

It was a big day for Bicester Village on Thursday (even with the rain) as the Value Retail-owned outlet mall cut the ribbon to open its long-awaited extension. This sees it with 30 new stores, more dining options and an all-new VIP area.

The Mayor of Bicester, Les Sibley, cut the ribbonon Bicester Village's new extension that has a raft of new high-end stores

The Mayor of Bicester, Councillor Les Sibley, cut the ribbon on the expanded centre, which is located not far from Oxford. New names there include Acne Studios, North Face, Joseph, Under Armour and Rapha (the bespoke cycling brand with its signature Rapha Clubhouse), Villeroy & Boch, and Dsquared2. Meanwhile, popular British brands Emma Bridgewater and The Cambridge Satchel Company have returned to the Village as it opens its new extension.

The company said there will also be regular pop-ups including beauty brand Charlotte Tilbury, and footwear from Charlotte Olympia.

Also opening for the first time is The British Collective, which is positioned as a one-stop Christmas Shop. Designed by Luke Edward Hall, interior decorator and illustrator, it has an opulent interior and a line-up of luxury gifts such as cashmere pieces, leather accessories and scented candles from UK brands.

The VIP space  is a new, by-appointment-only VIP area where visitors can have private shopping consultations, personalised trunk shows or can rest after shopping.

More than just a regional mall, Bicester is Britain’s premier outlet centre and is also a major attraction for tourists. This has been helped by the weakness of the UK currency in the last 16 months, which has delivered a huge uplift in tourist arrivals.
