Adidas launches fitness app

Published
Mar 31, 2017

Adidas has made another foray into the fitness world, launching a fitness app this week.

Adidas's new All Day Fitness App - Adidas

All Day is a new all-around fitness app by Adidas, aimed at helping users track their fitness and food intake. Instead of being strictly fitness based, the app focuses on four areas of healthy life: movement, nutrition, mindset, and rest.

Partnering with several experts in the fitness field, users can receive diet tips from professional chef Candice Kumai, yoga sessions from Adriene Mishler, and work-out tips and virtual work-out sessions with celebrity trainer Stephen Cheuk. The app also offers a custom selection of music for both work-out and relaxation, curated by DJ Nina Las Vegas.

The public release is set for this summer, but Adidas is encouraging users to sign up on Adidas’s website right now.

Adidas hasn’t had the smoothest of forays into the wearables market. After acquiring digital health and fitness platform Runtastic in 2015, Adidas announced plans to shut down its MiCoach fitness service, with the entire service to shut by the end of 2018 in favor of Runtastic’s new platform.

Adidas also announced in September that it would cease any efforts to create a GPS running watch, focusing its efforts instead on a fashion-focused fitness tracker.

The Adidas All Day app was set to launch alongside Adidas’s new wearable fashion fitness tracker, the Adidas Chameleon, but no further news has been announced. The Chameleon will be a more fashion-forward tracker by the brand.
