Amer Sports has appointed Andy Towne as president for clothing. The sportswear group wants to further develop its clothing lines and allow more time for Jean-Marc Pambet to work on footwear and the Salomon brand.

Aged 44, Andy Towne was most recently CEO of Musto, a brand that specialises in water and outdoor sports. He has been vice-president Europe for the product and marketing at Reebok and vice president of Helly Hansen. Amer Sports has a broad portfolio of brands including Salomon, Wilson, Arc'Terix and Atomic.
