Boohoo's PrettyLittleThing is world's fastest growing brand

Published

Three fashion brands have topped a study raking the companies with the highest online search interest, with Boohoo-owned PrettyLittleThing taking the top spot.

PrettyLittleThing

Based on Google Trends data, the report from Aaron Wallis Sales Recruitment, reveals that PrettyLittleThing more than doubled its online presence score from 25% in 2016 to over 58% this year.

The results may be partially linked to the e-tailer’s acquisition by clothing company Boohoo in December 2016, and the subsequent interest from both consumers and investors following the announcement.

PrettyLittleThing has also achieved huge amounts of publicity by partnering with global celebrities such as Rita Ora, Nicki Minaj, Kylie Jenner and most recently, Kourtney Kardashian.

Gucci and Louis Vuitton came second and third, increasing their average search interest score by 27.2% and 18.8% respectively. According to the report, their performances were boosted in 2017 by a surge in interest from a younger audience and millennials.

The top 10 also included Chinese liqueur Maotai, Netflix, China Mobile, Xfinity, Ping-An Insurance, KFC and Hawei.
E-commerce brand Amazon and fashion giant Zara made it into the top 20 brands by search interest increases, ranking 15th and 16th respectively.
