Bottega Veneta opts out of Milan Fashion Week in September

Owned by luxury conglomerate Kering, the recovering brand parted ways with its former creative director Tomas Maier last month.

Maier's successor in the creative director role, Daniel Lee, will make his debut at Milan Fashion Week for the autumn/winter 2019 edition, which is to be held in February.

The company has been on a management overhaul recently. Earlier this month, Bottega Veneta announced the departure of Lisa Pomerantz, who had served as the brand's marketing director since 2017.

Pomerantz's functions were absorbed by Claus-Dietrich Lahrs, the label's relatively new CEO, who arrived at the helm in 2016, just after the Italian brand started to announce a drop in sales.

For the first quarter 2018, Bottega Veneta revenues totalled 261.2 million euros, a decline of 6.8% on last year. For the three-month period, comparable sales were up 0.7%.
