Estée Lauder names two new executive team members

Published

The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. has named Andrew Ross as executive vice president of strategy and new business development, and Lisa Sequino as senior vice president, global general manager of company subsidiary Becca cosmetics. Both appointments are effective immediately.

In his new role, Ross will report to Fabrizio Freda, president and CEO, and Tracey T. Travis, executive vice president and CFO.

Sequino will report to Fabrice Weber, president of Prestige and Artisanal Fragrances and New Brands Empowerment Group.

Ross will remain a member of the Estée Lauder Executive Leadership team in his new position, having previously served as senior vice president of strategy and new business development. Prior to his work at the company, he held roles as chair of the board for Ardent Mills as well as executive vice president and chief strategy officer at ConAgra foods.

Ross' promotion follows the company acquisition of Becca and Too Faced cosmetics brands under his leadership.

In her new role, Sequino will join the company’s Extended Executive Leadership team and be responsible for strengthening Becca’s global brand equity, developing and executing the brand strategy and advancing the global business. Sequino will be succeeded by Claudia Benshimol.

With over five years of experience at the company, Sequino has held multiple leadership roles, including as senior vice president, general manager of Estée Lauder and Aerin Beauty as well as vice president of specialty multi retail channel strategy. Under her management, the company brands gained share across online channels and in North America in subcategories like face serum and foundation, and expanded their department and specialty store presence.

Before her work at the beauty company, Sequino worked for eight years at Procter & Gamble.

Estée Lauder cosmetics, fragrances, beauty and skincare products are sold in over 150 countries and territories, and include brands like Clinique, La Mer and Bobbi Brown.
