French label Lemaire to show men’s and women's collections together

French luxury label Lemaire will be holding mixed catwalk shows in the future. Sarah-Linh Tran and Christophe Lemaire, the label’s two designers, have in fact decided they will present their future men’s and women's collections together in one show.

The label’s first co-ed show will be held on September 26, at the Paris women’s Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2019. Before then, on June 20, during the Paris men’s Fashion Week (scheduled from June 19-24), Lemaire is planning a series of meetings at its rue du Temple showroom, to unveil its next men's collection to the media and buyers.

From June 25, for another four days, atttendees will also be able to view and buy the women’s pre-collection.

Lemaire’s decision to go mixed-gender reflects a much broader trend as, in 2017 alone, an array of labels including the likes of J.W. Anderson, Balenciaga, Salvatore Ferragamo, Diesel Black Gold and Etro, adopted this format.
