Furla CEO Eraldo Poletto resigns

Furla has announced the departure of its CEO, only a few days after revealing its intention to apply for a Stock Exchange listing. In a brief communiqué, the historic Italian leather goods brand stated that "Eraldo Poletto, the group's CEO, has resigned in order to pursue new professional objectives."

The brand specified that Poletto will continue to act in his role until the end of June.
 
According to some rumours, he may be about to join Salvatore Ferragamo, taking over from CEO Michele Norsa. The latter notably steered the company to its Milan Stock Exchange listing in 2011, and has recently announced his intention to "focus on new professional objectives."

This is the second time that Eraldo Poletto leaves Furla. He had in fact left the Italian label a first time in early November 2012, after being in charge for three years, to lead the Richemont group's Alfred Dunhill brand. Poletto then returned and took charge of Furla again in May 2013.
