Harvey Nichols overhauls management, Cartwright to be deputy chairman

Harvey Nichols has announced a management reshuffle that affects three executive positions in the company.

Stacey Cartwright, who has been CEO of the luxury department store since February 2014, will take up the role of deputy chairman, while Daniela Rinaldi and Manju Malhotra have been appointed as co-COOs.

Rinaldi is currently serving as group commercial director, while Malhotra has been group finance director at Harvey Nichols since 2010. Both have spent decades at the company, having joining the luxury retailer in 1986 and 1998 respectively.

Rinaldi and Malhotra will take up their post at the start of 2018, and will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the business and the group’s ongoing strategic development. There will be no new CEO, said Harvey Nichols.

"Daniela and Manju each bring a wealth of experience to their new roles, with highly complementary skill sets," said Stacey Cartwright. "I'm delighted to be announcing their promotions and I look forward to working alongside them."

Before joining Harvey Nichols, Cartwright was executive vice president of Burberry until July 2013, having joined as chief financial officer in 2004. In her new position as deputy chairman, Cartwright will continue to report to Harvey Nichols chairman and owner Sir Dickson Poon.

Incoming co-COO Daniela Rinaldi commented: “I am delighted to be taking on the role of co-chief operating officer. We have made great strides in our strategy to transform the business and I am committed to driving Harvey Nichols forward through the next phase of our growth.”

Manju Malhotra added: "I am immensely excited about my new role as co-chief operating officer. I look forward to continuing the transformation of our unique brand and working closely with Daniela to lead the business to further success."
