Jimmy Choo: Elisabeth Murdoch joins Board of Directors

Jimmy Choo announced that Elisabeth Murdoch has joined itsBoard of Directors as an independent Non-Executive Director. The British luxury footwear brand, floated on the London Stock Exchange last year, expressed its satisfaction in a press release for the "wealth of experience" that this "top-notch manager and specialist entrepreneur in media and technology" will contribute to the company.

The daughter of media magnate Rupert Murdoch, Elisabeth Murdoch is currently President and Chairman of the Freelands Group investment fund, which she set up after leaving Shine Group last year, following its merger with Endemol and Core Media Group.

Murdoch is also active in the arts and culture. She's notably the President of the Tate Modern Advisory Group, linked to London's Tate Modern museum.
