Joe Browns in talks for footwear debut with Lipsy to reach younger shopper

Published
Mar 14, 2017

Joe Browns is in talks about launching a footwear collection via its partnership with young fashion retailer Lipsy following the success of its women’s and men’s capsule collections since last year.

Joe Browns could launch footwear with Lipsy after its women's and men's offer sold strongly

The fashion firm, which targets a wide age range but generally skews older than the core Lipsy customer, is in a strong expansion phase and has stronger sales to younger consumers on its wishlist.

The mail order and online retailer launched an AW16 capsule collection on the Lipsy website, as well as that of Lipsy’s parent company Next, last October and said that this was largely sold out within two weeks.

Since then it has launched menswear (in February this year) that a spokesperson told Fashion Network “has done really well”, in addition to another womenswear collection.

The company has given no date for a footwear launch with talks being ongoing.
