Performance Days looks to biodegradable materials

Published
Apr 25, 2017

From the latest insulation, anti-odour materials and simple press-buttons, through to the various accessories and parts that make up a technical garment, Performance Days expects to present a complete sourcing offering to attendees this April, particularly suited for sports brands.

Performance days

The tradeshow, which takes place in the MTC building in Munich, Germany, this April 26 and 27, will present collections from 177 textile manufacturers hailing from 24 different countries. Major players expected to showcase over the two day event include 3M, Polartec, Primaloft and Schoeller, as well as Bluesign and Toray.

Product development teams from brands can keep up with the latest trends, via the Performance Forum, and find the latest proposals from suppliers in areas of woven and knitted materials, polars, insulation, water repellency, odour control, breathability, rapid drying and UV protection. Helping the visitors uncover the trends, thematic tours have been organised by management of the show.

Performance Days

Performance Days also expects to be a place where visitors can update their skills. Over the tradeshow schedule, a multitude of conferences are planned, covering various topics such as "Eco-friendly textile printing" and "Are intelligent textiles ready for use?"

Meanwhile, Thursday April 27 has been dedicated to biodegradable textiles.

At the same time, workshops will be taking place and led by supplier representatives. Doing so, will allow viewers to analyse the performance of each offer, with sessions lasting half an hour to an hour.
