Repossi opens first Middle East standalone in Dubai

Published
Jul 17, 2018

Jeweller Repossi has opened its first standalone boutique in the Middle East, with a debut at the Dubai Mall in the location's new Fashion Avenue extension.

Repossi

It’s a major move for the brand as it's only Repossi’s third store globally, the company having opened in Monaco in 1977 and Paris in 1986.

But the latest opening shows just how luxury retail has expanded into newer markets in recent years as well as highlighting the importance of Dubai as a magnet for high-end shoppers.

Divided into two spaces, including a semi-private area, the company said that the store mixes jewellery into an architectural setting, paying tribute to its historical flagship at 6 Place Vendôme.

And it has used “unconventional” materials, creating what it describes as an “atypical” jewellery store. What does that mean in practice? It has played with light and shadow with luxe materials such as the walls being coated with matte copper glass and coloured mirrors introducing various degrees of reflected colours in pink and grey.

The interiors reflect the Repossi signature with warm tones and touches of metal, while the exterior has a distinctly contemporary and modern edge.

Given the affluence of the market in Dubai, the store is stocking regular collections as well as one-of-a-kind pieces and more exclusive high-end jewellery items.
