Riccardo Tisci's latest collection for Nike in stores

After hinting at an upcoming collaboration with Nike back in October last year, Riccardo Tisci's latest collection with NikeLab finally hits stores on Friday.

The new collection will go on sale in North America on Friday, February 16 - Riccardo Tisci

With his first collaboration with Nike released back in 2014, the ex-Givenchy designer has once again returned with a new collection, this time drawing inspiration from NBA style which effortlessly mixes sportswear with luxury.

"I live for sports," says Tisci. "There's always been sportswear in my style, and I believe the mix of sport, street and elegance is really good."

Combining different generations of basketball design with a modern elegance, the Italian designer has created a collection of apparel and accessories for both men and women. Tisci has even designed a series of graphic logos for a fictional basketball team, the Victorious Minotaurs, to create a full off-court basketball uniform.

After already collaborating with Nike on the Riccardo Tisci x Nike Air Force 1 RT footwear collection and a 30th anniversary version of the Nike Air Max 97 sneaker, Tisci has also made footwear a focus in the new range. Once again returning to the Nike Air Force 1, with Tisci himself commenting "I'm obsessed with the shoe," the design has been reimagined in simple but bold primary colors of red, blue, and yellow offset by a white or black base.

"It's very clean and pure, but at the same time elaborate. It's the shoe that best represents my style and my collaboration with Nike," says Tisci.

The new Nike x RT collection will be available in North America February 16.
