The Retail Real Estate Market China trade show will be held in Shanghai on 15th and 16th June. The event is the Chinese edition of French commercial real estate trade show Mapic, and it has already announced the attendance of some one hundred retail brands at its conferences and networking events.

The Oriental Arc project in Suzhou, China.

Organiser Reed Midem has in fact advertised the participation of a series of major brands and retailers from France, Italy, Sweden, the UK, the Netherlands and Germany. Among the names mentioned there are Adidas, Banana Republic, C&A, Etam, Gap, Jacadi, Mango, Massimo Dutti, Mothercare, Prêt A Manger, Pull&Bear and Zara, as well as brands that are not yet present in China, such as Calzedonia, Finsbury, Amer Sports, Intimissimi, Rue Madame and Tarik Ediz.

In terms of developers and promoters, leading names from both China and overseas will attend, including SPCG, Red Star, Wanda, IKEA, Capital Juda, Oriental Arc, Aeon Mall, Lujiazui, 9 Square, Greenland and Star Mall.

The show will hold industry networking events, including some on retailtainment, travel retail, pop-up stores, luxury goods and master franchisors. Other issues to be explored will be the omni-channel approach, the 'online-to-offline' experience, brand stores and data usage. In addition, the show will host themed lunches bringing retailers and promoters together.

"Networking is key at RREM," said Nathalie Depetro, Director of RREM and Mapic. "We do our best to ensure that the leading Chinese promoters and the prestigious international retailers who will get together at RREM exploit fully the contact and business opportunities afforded. This is the objective of all the events, conferences, themed lunches and networking cocktail evenings we will organise."
