Spreadshirt launches TeamShirts, a site specialising in group orders

Published
Sep 23, 2015

The e-commerce platform, well-known for its sales, purchasing and customised product creation services, in October 2014 in Germany launched the TeamShirts brand, allowing groups to create customised products for special events together. The website is now available in France and the UK.

Targeting companies, sporting clubs and private individuals, the Spreadshirt group's new division allows simplified group purchases by featuring sharing options, and also allows the addition of players' names and numbers on the same order.

Elmar Kühn, director at TeamShirts, explained: "The launch of the TeamShirts brand specifically addresses two major market trends we have identified, which can initially appear contradictory but are ultimately complementary. First of all, personalisation and the need to express one's own personality through clothes and accessories, and secondly the growing need for consumers to feel connected, to feel they're part of a group. As a new trading unit integrated with Spreadshirt, we are growing rapidly, like a start-up, and we're impatient to expand TeamShirts on our main European markets."

500 designs are already available and customisable, featuring sport apparel, polos, tank tops, trousers, shorts...
