Stella McCartney and Net-a-Porter team up for the party season

Stella McCartney is ringing in the festive season with a special capsule collection for the luxury fashion e-tailer Net-a-Porter.

The British designer took to Instagram to announce the launch of the 10-piece ‘Net-a-Porter x Stella' collection, which goes on sale Thursday, referring to the pieces as "effortless, sophisticated and always naturally sexy eveningwear." A few snapshots of the collection reveal silky dresses, jumpsuits and separates with clean, modern lines, in a color palette of soft nudes, creamy whites, sophisticated black and festive touches of gold. A fur-free cropped jacket also forms part of the lineup.

"The collection is basically looking at women's needs in this day and age; taking an incredibly luxurious, sustainable look at fashion and looking at a woman's wardrobe from day to evening," McCartney told WWD.

The collection will see McCartney round off 2017 in style, after a busy year that has seen her collaborate with ocean debris recycler Parley for the Oceans on a sustainable fashion project, as well as launching a new fragrance, ‘Pop Bluebell' and producing athleisure collections as part of her ongoing partnership with sportswear giant Adidas.
