American designer Tom Ford will present his new menswear collection at New York's upcoming Fashion Week. The event runs for 10 days this season -- February 5-14 -- with menswear and womenswear showing back to back.

Women's Wear Daily (WWD) reports that the designer will participate in the men's portion of the official calendar for the first time.

Designers and fashion houses seem intent on shaking up the schedules of the various Fashion Weeks. The latest change comes from Tom Ford, who will show his new menswear collection at New York Fashion Week, February 6. The designer staged his spring/summer 2018 menswear show in Milan.

Although the American designer has previously unveiled menswear collections in the Big Apple, this is the first time he has been given an official slot on the New York Fashion Week: Men's calendar.

In December, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) announced that the upcoming edition of New York Fashion Week would be held over 10 days in February, starting with menswear shows February 5-7 then womenswear and coed shows February 8-14 -- a first for the NYFW schedule.
