And Just Like That finale drives fashion searches, Valentino is clear winner

Published

Sex And The City may have long been replaced as fashion brands’ favourite TV show with many other hit series having also shown themselves able to drive sales. But it seems that SATC’s maker’s haven’t lost their touch as its ‘successor’ series, And Just Like That, also has the ability to drive searches, it seems.

@SJP

Sales aggregator site Lovethesales.com said that after the finale late last week, searches for a number of key pieces seen on the show’s stars spiked.

And in one case, that spike was in quadruple-digits. Some viewers may have found the Valentino haute couture dress from 2019 a little overwhelming when Carrie Bradshaw scattered Big’s ashes in Paris. In fact, there was a lot of criticism of the look on social media. But Lovethesales reported a 1,085% increase in searches for Valentino Dresses compared to the prior 24 hours.

Carrie was also wearing pink leather opera gloves in the scene and there was a 273% increase in fashion demand for Pink Gloves too.

Meanwhile, there was a 214% increase in fashion demand for Lace Jackets, a 194% spike in searches for Long Orange Dresses and a 171% increase in demand for Green Pearl Necklaces.

Other pieces to strike a chord with consumers drove a 117% increase in fashion demand for Floral Print Dresses, a 94% rise in searches for Sequin Bags, a 74% rise in demand for Erdem Dresses and 63% more searches for Pink Jackets.
