Coccinelle: Andrea Baldo is the new CEO

Published
Feb 19, 2016

Coccinelle has appointed a new CEO. The man in charge is Andrea Baldo, who worked for 15 years in the orbit of Renzo Rosso's OTB, notably at the head of Maison Margiela, Diesel Black Gold and more recently Marni, which he left a few months ago.

The Italian leather goods brand was acquired in 2012 by South Korean group E-Land, which owns other Italian brands such as Mandarina Duck and Sutor Mantelassi. With Baldo's appointment, Coccinelle stated in a press release that it intends to "continue to accelerate the ongoing activity of retail expansion and international growth, concentrating chiefly on its directly-owned stores, the franchising network, e-commerce and travel retail."

New CEO Andrea Baldo succeeded Angelo Mazzieri, the son of Coccinelle's founder, who left the company after managing it for 15 years.

In total, the label operates 25 mono-brand stores and 93 franchised stores, half of them located in Europe and the other half split between Russia/East Europe (25%) and Asia (25%). Coccinelle is also distributed through 1,400 multi-brand stores, chiefly in Europe.
