Jaclyn Hill Cosmetics set for end November relaunch

Beauty influencer Jaclyn Hill is poised to relaunch her cosmetics brand, after its original debut was marred by controversy earlier this year.

Instagram 2019

Hill, who counts 6.1 million followers on Instagram and 5.8 million subscribers on YouTube, first rolled out her eponymous beauty line 'Jaclyn Hill Cosmetics' back in May. However, the 20-piece lipstick series came under fire when multiple customers complained about quality control, citing worries about contamination. The scandal saw the brand eventually refund all its customers and announce that it was "taking a moment to rebuild."

On Monday the label took to Instagram once again to upload a video showing a shining letter ‘J' alongside the caption: "The future is bright. 11/26/19 Jaclyn."

Beauty influencers have continued to dominate the cosmetics industry over the course of 2019, with multiple social media stars launching their own makeup ventures. These include Tati Westbrook, whose ‘Tati Beauty' line rolled out in October, and Gigi Gorgeous, who announced she had teamed up with the beauty subscription company Ipsy on a ‘Gigi Gorgeous Cosmetics' line in the same month.
