Louis Vuitton is most popular luxury brand in UK - report

Published
Jan 20, 2022

The prize for the most popular luxury brand in the UK goes to… Louis Vuitton. The LVMH-owned label came out top in a global study of online shopping habits by online savings solution specialist Raisin UK.

Louis Vuitton

It found that Louis Vuitton is actually the most-searched-for luxury fashion brand in the world ahead of Lacoste, Gucci, Dior and Calvin Klein. Also in the ranking behind the top five are Chanel, Versace, Balenciaga, Cartier, Rolex, Tiffany, Omega and Supreme.

As mentioned, Louis Vuitton also takes the crown in Britain, although the biggest volume of searches for the label comes from the US. And Germany searches for it almost as much as the UK does.

In second place in the UK are two key Kering brands — Balenciaga and Gucci.

Meanwhile, after Vuitton in the US, come Gucci and home-grown label Coach. It’s a similar picture in Australia, although there, Chanel is in third spot.

But as we’ve seen, the second-placed brand globally is Lacoste. That’s helped by its popularity in France where it generates a massive number of monthly searches to take top spot and where interest in it has risen 22% since 2020. Louis Vuitton is almost on a par with it but takes second place, ahead of Dior.
