Schiaparelli and Bertrand Guyon part ways

Schiaparelli is turning over a new leaf. Bertrand Guyon, who took charge of creativity in 2015 for the legendary label owned since 2006 by the boss of Tod’s, Diego Della Valle, has left. In a brief press release, Schiaparelli thanked the French designer for his work, without giving any further explanation, nor the name of his successor.

Guyon is a graduate of the school of the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne (the Paris couturiers' union chamber), and had previously worked at Valentino. He joined Schiaparelli, replacing Marco Zanini, when Diego Della Valle undertook to relaunch the label in 2012, positioning Schiaparelli at the very top of the high-end segment.

Guyon delved into the design archives of the place Vendôme label, injecting a fresh, contemporary vibe into Schiaparelli's haute couture collection and recently developing a ready-to-wear and accessories line, featuring a first handbag called ‘Secret de Schiaparelli’.
