UK lifestyle licensing brand Smiley is boosting its operations in German-speaking markets with the appointment of a new Europe-based Vice-President. Romina Ivanisevic will head up business development in Germany, Austria and Switzerland as the company seeks to further increase its global presence.

Smiley's new VP Romina Ivanisevic

"I am really happy to have Romina as part of the team,” said Smiley's CEO Nicolas Loufrani. “After continuous successful years for us in German-speaking countries, with over 40 well-established local partnerships including Santex, Herlitz, BSB Opbacher and Nici, we felt it was time to have a local presence with significant market expertise to focus on nurturing our retail relationships and signing key new partners"

Prior to her new role, she had been Commercial Director for CPLG, with over four years’ experience of leading key German licensing activities. This included the relaunch of Pink Panther into the German market, the Minions license program from 2015 to 2017, as well as launching fashion brand Cherokee with a full lifestyle program in the German grocery chain Lidl.

Ivanisevic said Smiley is “a remarkably versatile lifestyle brand that inherits happiness like no other and can be called one of the first classics of our digital era.”
