Action sports footwear and apparel brand Vans announced on Thursday a new partnership with four rising visual artists to honor Latinx Heritage Month with one-of-a-kind posters.

As part of the ‘So Much More’ initiative, which empowers young Latinx creatives and breaks down preconceived, one-dimensional notions of Latino identity through art, the artists will explore varying themes through one-of-a-kind designs, to ultimately present authentic, multi-faceted depictions of Latinidad. Each artist explored an array of themes and ideas such as food, traditions, symbols, and more.

The featured artists include Colombian American nonbinary artist Marisa Fulperl; visual artist and musician Camilo Medina; Chicago-based artist Tatee Garcia aka Elloo. and Los Angeles-based painter Daniel Gibson.

The posters will be available in limited quantities at Vans stores throughout the U.S., including shops in Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, New York, and more. The initiative also includes special programming on the Vans Channel 66 station featuring Latinx artists and creatives such as Totem Magazine, Salt Cathedral and Buscabella.

“Vans understand the power of the Latinx community and the importance of amplifying and supporting their voices today,” the company said in a news statement. “The initiative exists solely to empower young creatives and show the many ways that Latinx culture influences the world we live in today.”

Vans, a VF Corporation brand, currently has over 2,000 retail locations globally including owned, concession and partnership doors.
