Very.co.uk grows beauty category with 50 new brands

Very.co.uk is building its beauty offering with the launch of an additional 50 beauty and fragrance brands. The range will expand further throughout 2020 to include enhanced ranges of cosmetics, skincare, haircare, men’s products and baby products.

The company said almost 200 premium beauty brands are now available online, with new launches including Elemis, Ren Clean Skincare, Cowshed, NIP+FAB, This Works, Emma Hardie and Iconic London. Within Fragrance, new labels include Montblanc and Coach.

In total, online customers can choose from about 1,320 beauty product lines available via the e-tailer. The move is part of plans to increase access to more premium beauty brands after seeing a 78% increase in beauty and fragrance sales over the last four years.

“We’re seeing a fantastic response to the beauty and fragrance brands that have already launched on Very.co.uk but we know our customers and broader target market want even better access to premium beauty brands. We’re looking forward to working with more leading names in beauty this year,” said Jeremy Stevens, category director at The Very Group.

In order to boost the category, the group has recently announced a partnership with CEW UK, a member organisation for professionals in the British beauty industry, to host and be part of events focused on accessing an underserved customer and accelerating the growth of beauty online.
