The Who's Next salon closed its doors on September 5, showing a satisfactory re-entry dynamic. A dive into the spring-summer 2023 from which several trends emerged, as compiled by FashionNetwork.com. The event brought together a number of new entities, including 30 or so funded by the participatory financing specialist, Ulule.

Calanque Swimwear

Among the many stand-outs in this space was Calanque Swimwear, which, in the midst of the swimwear line, took on the challenge of targeting men. Founded by Thalie Moliner, the brand offers boxer shorts made from plastic collected in the Mediterranean, processed in Spain and made in Portugal.

Meanwhile, the brand Aefory presented a selection of pieces playing on the adaptability of cuts, using different types of knots and lacing. Tops, trousers and dresses were sensual and fluid, using silk, wool and viscose, while adapting to the figure of each customer.

Among the leather items on offer, Maison Hikaku has taken on the challenge of creating a "luxury" handbag that is "ultra light" and practical. The Parisian leather workshop thus presented a "Feather" bag made of a machine-washable technical fabric and lined with parachute fabric, with the idea of being as light as a feather, as its name suggests.

In jewellery, visitors could discover Alt, a Parisian unisex jewellery brand. Rings, bracelets and necklaces are all made of silver and vermeil: precious materials that are partially recycled and that can be recycled at the end of their life span. The brand, founded by Théo Jacquet, boasts a guarantee of French origin.

Beauty was not left out, with several exciting initiatives. Kernel, for example, which offers skin care products of natural origin, presented in refined and, above all, refillable packaging, in order to limit product waste. The brand, created by Lamia Hassene, offers moisturizing cream, cleansing gel and purifying clay masks.

Amongst the innovative concepts was also that of Deuxième Soi, and its "upcycling boxes to make yourself". The aim is to help consumers transform unworn clothes into new pieces and accessories.

All of Ulule's innovative participants present at Who's Next can be found on a dedicated page. The next edition of Who's Next will be held from Saturday 21 to Monday 23 January. In the meantime, WSN will hold its Première Classe event in the Jardin des Tuileries from Friday 30 September to Monday 3 October.
