YouCam Makeup announced as official media and broadcast partner of PHAMExpo

Perfect Corp.’s AR makeup try-on app YouCam Makeup was named as the official media and broadcast partner for 2018’s Professional Hair and Makeup Expo (PHAME) on Wednesday, with plans for the platform to offer expo-related media in app.
 

As part of the partnership, YouCam Makeup will broadcast panels, masterclasses and keynote presentations and allow users to experiment with real-time virtual try-ons of top influencer looks. Confirmed speakers at PHAME currently include Vanessa Simmons, Angel Brinks and Hosway Morbak.
 
YouCam will also host a “Beauty Tech & Micro Influencer” at the expo on June 3, featuring  Noella Van de Voorde (aka Goldilonglocks), Lauren Pence, and Lynn James, all of whom are YouCam live stream broadcasters.

CEO Alice Chang in a release. “We are excited to continue to grow our editorial footprint with inspiring PHAME content that empowers the user journey onsite at the convention and virtually through their mobile devices.”

The news comes as YouCam, which won Google Play’s “Most Innovative App” award in 2017 and recently announced a partnership with Target, attempts to consolidate its status as a beauty-focused over the top (OTT) platform, streaming content directly to its users.
 
PHAME will take place in Los Angeles on June 2 and 3. YouCam Makeup will broadcast related content from June 6 through 12.
