Zalando names two new VPs

German e-commerce company Zalando has appointed Sara Diez and Andreas Roedl as new vice presidents of its Women and Men categories.

Sara Diez has become VP of Women’s and will be responsible for buying, merchandising and content for the women’s category at the Zalando Fashion Store. She was most recently brand director at Nike, a role she held for six years. Prior to that, she was head of buying at Inditex (owner of Zara) until 2013, after cutting her teeth as a buyer in the same company in 2002.

Andreas F. Roedl has been named VP of Men’s. He will lead the buying, merchandising and content teams for the men’s category at the Zalando Fashion Store. Roedl has a PhD in economics from the University of Duisburg-Essen. He joins Zalando from PVH Corp, where he worked closely with the e-commerce platform in his role as e-commerce director. Prior to that, he was a senior director of sales at Adidas Group.
