High-end leather goods specialist Smythson has reported higher losses in the year to the end of March 2019 with the company saying that its materials costs rose and the trading environment in the UK was tough.
Another big name has just announced that its banning the use of fur in its products with the Karl Lagerfeld brand singing up to be fur-free. AM Retail Group, which operate’s Lagerfeld’s stores, will also stop using fur.
Burberry has announced the launch of a digital pop-up experience, powered by Google Lens, at Ely’s Yard in Brick Lane, London. It sees the company focusing heavily on experiences rather than directly on commerce.
