Chapter 2: Super-Imposed - The trends for the Fall/Winter 2017-18 (Schmid)

Published
Nov 9, 2016

The discovery of Schmid’s most relevent trends continues with Super-Imposed.

Super-Imposed reinterprets a classic style in a technological way, through innovation and the union of couture and performance. Its follower is simultaneously retro and modern. He or she adapts the great icons of the past adding design features. The result is a fusion of styles with a futuristic orientation.

The colour palette
The colour range comprises the hues of contemporary architecture: metallic tones of gold, silver, steel, aluminium and carbon black, coupled with dyes with a synthetic flavour such as fuchsia, red and purplish blue.

Materials
In terms of materials and fabrics, Super-Imposed is best expressed with the superimposition of layers: reflective and holographic surfaces, metallic finishings on elastic grids and quilting dotted with geometric patterns.
For this theme are particularly recommended stratified PVCs with constrating inserts and layers or elasticised materials such as satin stretch and Lycra with foil glitter.
Technical ability and tailoring blend to create new luxury surfaces.
